Nationally known pollster Adam Geller, president of National Research, Inc., thinks his most recent poll puts Democrats “in the danger zone” in the fall elections.
Here are the details of that finding:
“Do you approve or disapprove of the job that Barack Obama is doing as President?”
1/14 3/14 4/14 5/14 6/14 7/14
45% 46% 47% 45% 46% 45% Total Approve
52% 53% 50% 54% 53% 53% Total Disapprove
25% 24% 24% 23% 24% 23% Strong Approve
19% 22% 23% 22% 22% 22% Somewhat Approve
10% 9% 10% 11% 8% 6% Somewhat Disapprove
42% 44% 40% 43% 44% 47% Strong Disapprove
3% 1% 3% 1% 2% 1% Don’t Know
Also interesting were the results of this question:
“In your opinion, do you personally feel safer under President Barack Obama than you did under President George W. Bush?”
39% Safer Under President Obama
46% Safer Under President Bush
13% The Same/ No Difference
2% Other/ Don’t Know
1% Refused
The poll was commissioned by the Civitas Institute.
Another key question asked whether the United States is headed in the right direction or off on the wrong track. Seventy percent of the registered voters polled said things were headed in the right direction; 70 percent think things have gotten off on the wrong track.
“Thinking about the United States for a moment… Do you feel things in the United States are generally headed in the right direction or have things gotten off on the wrong track?”
10/12 10/13 1/14 3/14 4/14 5/14 6/14 7/14
40% 19% 24% 28% 29% 23% 22% 20% Right Direction
55% 75% 66% 64% 61% 68% 71% 70% Wrong Track
5% 6% 10% 8% 10% 9% 6% 10% Don’t Know/Unsure
— — 1% — — — — — Refused
The numbers closely mirror the findings in equivalent polls of nationwide sentiment. Many observers think that such discontent and pessimism can mean voters will take it out on incumbents at the ballot box.

This poll of 600 registered voters in North Carolina was conducted July 28-29, 2014 by National Research, Inc. of Holmdel, NJ. All respondents were part of a fully representative sample of registered general election voters in North Carolina. Twenty-five percent of the respondents were cell phone-only users. For purposes of this study, voters interviewed had to have voted in at least one of the past two general elections (2010, 2012) or be newly registered to vote since November 7, 2012.The confidence interval associated with a sample of this size is such that: 95 percent of the time, results from 600 interviews (registered voters) will be within +-4% of the “True Values.”

Wrong track-wrong priorities- can’t tell the truth. Barack Obama has been a disaster from the beginning. When he had the beer summit and sided with the professor instead of the officer, I knew we were in trouble. Travon, Baltimore, Fergeson, he’s been on the wrong side of law and order every time. And even now, Louisiana is in trouble, and he’s on the golf course. Do we hear one word from the media? Of course not. Had George Bush been on vacation with a disaster like the flooding in Louisiana, the liberal media would be going nuts.
Wow-where do we go from here? Hillary is no better-may be worse when it comes to honesty. She would not know the truth if it bit her in the butt!! We have not heard the last about the Clinton Foundation. If you or me had done what she did as Sec of State, we’d be under the jail. And remember the adds in 2008 about the 3 AM phone call? Where was she when Benghazi was coming down at 7PM-asleep at the wheel!!
Donald Trump is certainly not the perfect candidate, and he has many flaws. However, compared to Hillary, he’s a home run.
